Using Vision AI

How to use the mobile camera to map rooms, classify materials, and generate detailed estimates.

The core differentiator of Proof-OS is Vision AI. Instead of relying on technicians to manually draw floor plans and calculate wall square footage, Proof estimates dimensions from the photos your technician captures on the mobile app.

Scanning a Room

  1. Open the Proof Mobile App in the affected area.
  2. Tap Start Vision Scan.
  3. Slowly pan your camera across the floor boundaries, corners, and ceiling, keeping a reference object (such as a standard door or outlet) in frame.
  4. Proof analyzes the captured images to estimate dimensions and classify materials.

[!WARNING] Scan in good lighting. Vision AI works from your camera images, so dim or dark rooms reduce accuracy β€” if power is out on site, use a high-lumen headlamp.

Material Detection

As the technician scans over flooring and walls, the AI engine classifies the materials automatically:

  • O2 Level Drywall vs O4 Level Drywall
  • Engineered Hardwood vs LVP
  • Porous Concrete vs Sealed Concrete

This reduces manual guesswork in the estimating process. If the AI detects hardwood, it will suggest the necessary injecti-dry setups instead of standard air movers.

Generating the Estimate Payload

Once the scan is complete, the mobile app uploads the captured images to the Proof Servers. Within seconds, the engine:

  1. Calculates all dimensions (Linear Feet, Square Feet, Cubic Volume).
  2. Maps the detected materials to standard industry pricing modifiers.
  3. Packages the output into a clean, JSON-based payload that is instantly injected into your Financial Ledger.

You can then convert this payload directly into an invoice.
